SAFER action N°031 - Mozambique

Floods


Early March, torrential rains fall over central Mozambique which causes major flooding. Major cities and infrastructures are threatened by floods of Zambeze river and his affluents. More than 900 people have been displaced in the centre of the country. The Mozambique is regularly affected by extreme weather phenomenon, as in 2007, where major floods had led to the displacement of tens of thousands of people.
