Un incendie s’est déclaré le 6 septembre 2009 dans des forêts de Ligurie, au nord de l’Italie, et a atteint les portes de la ville de Gênes 2 jours après le départ du feu, s’étendant ainsi sur 800 hectares. Un deuxième incendie est apparu le 7 septembre dans la zone des « Cinque Terre », parc national inscrit par l’UNESCO au Patrimoine mondial de l’humanité, menaçant le village touristique de Corniglia. Corrodano, village proche du parc, fut également menacé par les flammes.
A fire broke out on the 6th of September 2009 in the forests of the province of Liguria, Northern Italy, reaching the outskirts of Genoa city 2 days after the beginning of the fire, affecting over 800 hectares. A second fire appeared on the 7th of september 2009 in the “Cinque Terre” area, a national park registered as a world heritage humanity site, threatening the tourist village of Corniglia. Corrodano, village closed to the park, was also threatened by the flames.
