Début janvier 2011, la fonte de l'exceptionnel manteau neigeux aggravée par des intempéries a entrainé des inondations importantes dans la région Wallone (sud de la Belgique). Les provinces de Namur et Luxembourg ont particulièrement été touchées. Les principales rivières sont entrées en crue, bloquant le passage sur de nombreux axes routiers et inondant les maisons.
Early january 2011, snow thaws combined with rain downpours are reported to have caused significant flooding in Wallonie, southern Belgium. The Namur and Luxembourg provinces have been particulary hit. The main rivers have risen and are blocking many roads and homes have been flooded.
